Why we built this
Where the file goes matters as much as getting it
A browser download lands in a shared Downloads folder. On a phone that usually means other apps can read it, cloud backup may sync it, and anyone who picks up the device can scroll through it.
Arca does this same paste-a-link step on iPhone, except the video is encrypted with AES-256 the moment it arrives and never touches your Camera Roll. This web tool is the same idea, minus the vault — useful on its own, and an honest demonstration of what the app does.

Is this downloader free? +
Yes, and there is no account, no signup, and no extension to install. It is built by the team behind Arca, a private photo vault for iPhone, as a working demonstration of the same link-saving feature the app has built in.
Which sites are supported? +
The platforms listed on this page are tested and documented individually. Beyond those, a general-purpose extractor handles many other sites — paste any video link and it will try. Sites needing a login are out of reach either way.
Do you store the videos I download? +
No. Files stream through the server to your browser and are not written to disk or retained. The link you paste is used to fetch the video and is not tied to any profile, because there are no accounts.
Is there a watermark? +
Nothing is added by this tool. If a video has a logo or username burned into the frames, the creator or the original platform put it there before you got to it, and no downloader can remove it without re-encoding.
Is downloading videos legal? +
It depends on the content and where you are. Downloading your own uploads, public-domain material, or content licensed to permit it is generally fine. Downloading commercially released music or film you have no rights to is not. Most platforms also restrict downloading in their terms of service. You are responsible for what you download.
