These Terms of Use govern your use of the Arca app and the https://arca.page website, operated by Pacifiq. By downloading or using Arca, you agree to these terms.
The most important thing to understand
Arca is zero-knowledge. Your photos are encrypted with a key derived from your PIN, which is never stored or transmitted. This means:
- We cannot recover your PIN or decrypt your vault if you forget it.
- We cannot retrieve, reset, or restore your data for you.
- You are responsible for remembering your PIN and keeping your own encrypted backups.
This is the deliberate cost of genuine privacy. Please take it seriously.
The web downloader — acceptable use
The free video downloader at /download/ is provided for personal use with content you have the right to save. By using it, you agree that:
- You will only download content you own, content in the public domain, content licensed to permit downloading, or content you have the rights holder's permission to save.
- You will not use it to infringe copyright, and you accept that you — not Pacifiq — are responsible for what you download and what you do with it afterwards.
- You will not use it to circumvent digital rights management, paywalls, subscription controls, or any technical access restriction.
- You will not redistribute, re-upload, or commercially exploit downloaded content without the rights to do so.
- You will respect the terms of service of the platform the content is hosted on. Many platforms restrict downloading, and this tool does not override those terms or grant you any right you didn't already have.
The downloader is offered as-is and without warranty. It depends on third-party services we do not control, and it may break, change, or be withdrawn at any time. We do not host, store, or archive any of the content it fetches — files stream through to your browser and are not retained.
Copyright complaints. If you believe this service is being used to infringe your copyright, contact support@pacifiq.io with the material identified and evidence of your rights, and we will respond promptly. Because we store no content, the appropriate remedy is generally with the platform hosting it, but we will act on legitimate reports including by restricting access to the service where warranted.
All product names, logos, and brands referenced on this site are property of their respective owners. Arca is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Arca on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service and these terms.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Arca lawfully and only to store content you have the right to store. You may not use Arca to store or distribute unlawful material, or attempt to circumvent its security or licensing.
Purchases and subscriptions
Arca is free to download. Premium is available as an annual subscription ($29.99/year) or a one-time lifetime purchase ($79.99). Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings. A lapsed subscription does not delete or lock photos you have already imported.
No warranty
Arca is provided “as is.” While we design Arca for strong security, no software is perfectly secure, and we make no guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pacifiq is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data arising from a forgotten PIN, a missing backup, or device loss or failure.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
